Plan Use & Limitations

Plans describe a design that was built and hosted in East Tennessee, or a new design that has not yet been built. They are not stamped by an architect or engineer.

You are responsible for

  • Confirming that your land may be built on and used as a short-term rental.
  • Meeting your local building codes and getting permits and inspections.
  • Getting site-specific engineering where needed, especially for foundations on steep or unusual lots.

Your building department may require changes or a local professional's stamp. The life-safety sheets are based on Sevier County, Tennessee's published short-term rental inspection items. Other jurisdictions differ, so confirm with your local fire and building officials.

Plans are provided as-is without warranty of fitness for a particular site or purpose.
